Following on from our 82nd Anniversary celebrations and the success of last year’s tournament, Hawarden Tennis Club are once again holding a Veterans Invitational Tournament to mark the occasion in conjunction with The Europa General Underwriters (NI) Ltd.
The Tournament will consist of Over 35 and Over 50 doubles, mens and ladies, with the cream of Ulster tennis invited. Qualifying matches will be played Monday through to Thursday on a round robin basis, for the semi final and finals which will be contested on the Saturday morning and continuing throughout the afternoon.
Comment from Jack McIlduff, CEO, "Europa General are delighted to join with Hawarden again this year, further to their 82 years of celebrating the development of tennis talent in Ulster. Last year was such a great success that Europa are happy to sponsor the event again this year".
Hawarden have provided the province with many Ulster representatives at both Junior and Senior level over the years, and in the past have even provided Federation Cup players.
Everyone is welcome to come down and enjoy what should be a very entertaining week at Hawarden Tennis Club.
